Welcome to Aunt Sybil’s Daycare your child’s second home!! We are a loving and proud to be Christian family/ household. We are Licensed and Certified in CPR/First Aid. We are ICCP certified, and follow the food program as well. Our rates are affordable we offer full-time care as well as part-time rates and drop offs being always welcome. (as long as we are not full up! :P) We also care for under 3 month olds, ask about under 3 rates. schooling is taught here, as well as a ton of other interactive games and activities.
Here at Aunt Sybil’s Daycare we do not believe a T.V. is the thing a child should be doing each day. There is a world of fun out there, and we will explore it together!! Along with Sybil, the main caretaker as well as owner/operator, she will be joined by her wonderful husband Anthony. He is also Licensed Daycare provider, and well as being trained in CPR and first aid, who is also a big lovable teddy bear who is a kid at heart. And also joining them are their three boys. Wesley 7, Anthony Jr. 4 and the official Aunt Sybil’s Daycare mascot Malcom 3.
Sybil loves children and has a special way about them. She has taken care of children all her life, and often, when at any place, will ask to watch someone else’s kids. I can not go anywhere, weather is be a supermarket, friends house, church, or otherwise where she does not know at least one family where the children all know her and love her.
This love for children has brought her to the natural conclusion of her opening up her daycare. Her main goal is to help others, and give children the love and care they need and deserve. Here is a little bit more info we feel is important for you to know about our wonderful daycare.
We know, especially in these tough economic times, that you money is precious. At Aunt Sybil’s Daycare you will not find a better value for the experiences that your loved ones will get. Your children will have joy and learning they will never forget.
Here are a few examples of the things your Children will experience at our exciting place. Meal time is important time of day in a child’s life. We all sit and eat together, and we teach the value and importance of eating together. It is a time of talking about our day, telling about how we feel and about our happiness or are sadness. A time to let our children know, that they are important, we love them, and they can talk to us about anything.
During breakfast time we also teach morels and values. These range anywhere between the value of honesty, respect, self-reliance, charity, hard work, courage, forgiveness and many more. Each day,we also talk about the importance of family, and doing our best to always do the right thing.
Free time and creative exploration/ play is important to a child’s development. Each day we give the kids some time to play with what ever toys and games we have. These range from regular things including toy cars, action figure, dolls, doll house etc, to puzzles, board games, building block, electronic toys, and more. It is important that they are given time to find out who they are and who they want to become.
There is also structured play time as well, where team work, sharing, and general how to get along with others is taught. Music and the arts are a big part of our Daycare as well. Music is played most of the time and range from kids music (i.e. Disney movie music), classical music, to all forms of health and clean music. Dancing and singing is also encouraged daily as well.
Children Can’t be cooped up inside all day, that’s why we feel it is important that they get outside and have fun as well. As long as weather permits, we go to the park daily, here they will not only get to play with whatever park structures there are, but we bring balls, Frisbees, and other outside playing toys that they can have fun with. To finish it off we eat lunch at the park. (Weather and season permitting)
Afternoon time is “Schooling” time, this is when we teach academics to our kids. Here at Aunt Sybil’s Daycare we teach what ever our kids needs are. If your child is in school, we will teach whatever grade level he or she is in or a grade level above. If your Child is not is school yet, we teach pre-k and K, as well as early childhood development for the under 3 year olds. All done in a loving environment with lots of encouragement, and rewards for “good jobs”
It is not a rare thing for our five-year old children who have been with us for at least 6 months prior, to already know things like how to read at kindergarten level, being able to count to 100, can add and subtract confidently, know all their colors and shapes, and many other Kindergarten and first grade level stuff.
Along with academic and Morales and values, we teach behavioral and practical lessons. For an example, we will take the children shopping say at a place like Wal-Mart. Here we will teach things like proper behavior in a store, things to do and not do.
Don’t keep asking for everything in sight, always stay close to the adult, (usually their parents), who are taking them to the store, be helpful and ask if you can help. If your parent(s) says no, accept that and don’t keep asking for it. This way you will be able to take your children places and not feel like you are going to pull your hair out of your head 🙂
There are also many events we take the children to. For an example we have gone to pancake breakfasts, The Corn Maze, The Zoo, Planet Kid, PoJo’s, Museum, Free Movies at Edwards, Cherry Picking, etc. These are optional and Most of these are done without any cost to you.
